Now, I am in a dilemma.....Do I call my son's physician and explain the scenario, or just move on, and maybe my son doesn't need this drug after all? If this medicine was not so darn expensive, I'd say, "OK, I'll just pay the amount, but $250.00 for a month supply?" Sorry, this household cannot handle that. A call to our family physician is in order and we'll see what we can do. What a waste of the physician's and pharmacist's time! These people could be spending their time much more effectively, doing what they love! Helping people- instead of managing insurance companies........After all, it's all in a Mom's Day, Right?

What's a MOM to do?
OK~ Yes,I am thankful for great health insurance, but I do become aggravated when our health insurance denies a prescription for coverage. Personally, I do believe that the decision to use a particular drug should be between the patient and their physician. Since when did insurance companies decide who we are as people? In order for a physician to prescribe a drug, I feel they need to know me as a person not as ___-__-____. Has this ever happened to you? The wasted time, money, and paperwork that goes into; what should be, one simple prescription- just astounds this Mom!
