Is today another holiday?

OK~ How many of you knew that today is a holiday?  Chances are that if you had a "paid" holiday today, you were aware of this.  Today is President's Day.  Yesterday was Valentine's Day.  Looking ahead, looks like St. Patricks Day is next!  How important are all of these holidays in the lives of your families?  I can honestly say that many of these holidays are just another day in "paradise" at the Broers household.  Skipper is dragging a frozen carcass, through the deep snow, around in the yard.  Wally is harassing a farm cat here or there.  Garrett complained that he had school today- we had snow and winds earlier in the day.  Blaine is still in bed!  Todd is sleeping, as he works tonight (through the night).  That leaves me and my blog! Were we supposed to do something for President's Day?  If so, this Mom missed it!  After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?

  3. Sad to say we don't do anything special in our house for President's Day - but am looking forward to St. Patrick's Day - green, green, green!

  5. The holidays when my wife gets off are something she really looks forward to and as a teacher it seems like she gets quite a few. They don't mean that much to me though most of the time since I'm not working and every day is off. But even when I was working it didn't matter because most of the workers in the private sector still work on those days.

  6. Not a special day or holiday for me either, but I must say as a mom who enjoys no school because it means she can sleep late I was thankful for the day to sleep in and no school. Now the countdown will begin until the next days that schools are closed :D
