What country am I in?

OK~ I live in North Iowa, pretty American, in my opinion.  Just the other day a radio ad came on~ ALL in Spanish!  I did take four years of Spanish in high school (never used much of it) and did understand some fo the words.  But, I honestly never did "get" what the advertisement was for.  My point being:  I live in America and I listen to a "local" radio station and I cannot even understand the advertisement.  Am I missing the big picture here?  Seems to be a waste of advertising dollars~ guess what?  I'm no longer listening to that station.  If I can't understand what is being said, why listen?  I live in America and English (to the best of my knowledge) is the language of our country.  Maybe I'm not in America, maybe I'm not American, not sure where I'm at anymore!  After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
