OK~ Garrett was 15 in May and had no desire to get his permit. He tried a couple times in May of 2009 and did not pass the test. Time has passed and we just decided it's time that he go and get this. Well, I've spent many days sitting at the Driver's Licensing place- btw- interesting place to observe people!
Yesterday he Passed! He only missed one~ yippee.....Well, all went well until he failed the eye test! What? I am like- HELLOOO??? You have got to be kidding me. So, over to the eye Dr.'s office we went. They were able to see him at 12:45 p.m. today. He had been wearing his eye glasses due to the fact that his contact lenses began falling out left and right in June and I had thought, "Well, the closer we get to school, we will then take him in to get new ones!" Well, we were forced to go in!
Boy, does this Mom feel rotten. The eyeglasses that we thought were the pair that were upgraded in January 2010- had been updated in 2006! Still pondering as to where the updated eye glasses are...........I'm amazed that he could see anything, and even shoot clay pigeons! He now has contact lenses that he can see out of and a driver's permit in hand! What a road to get there! After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
