OK~ If you have ever traveled with a teenager....you do realize it's a little different than the toddler days! The ear buds are in place and you hear a lot of "Huh? You say something" It's like, "No, my lips are moving for the fun of it....." Just my general observations....
When you travel with a toddler you do hear, "Are we there yet?" AND yes, my boys STILL ask me, "Are we there yet?" Nothing much different from two-twenty years old.
Toddlers like to be entertained....And teens/young adults are very good at entertaining themselves. I should say that the dvd player, iPod, Kindle, and cell phones do this job rather well!
When my boys were toddlers, it was always a good idea to pack books, coloring books, crayons, and the like. Now, in the year 2011...I honestly don't think toddlers would be very content with these simple items. The book would probably be on an iPad or Kindle.......and toddlers would be watching videos on their personal dvd players, just like the teenagers of today!
This Mom feels old~ Where have the 20 years gone of traveling with my boys? Oh, and the really cool thing about traveling with a teen...You might even find yourself singing a little karaoke! This Mom hopped up to the plate and sang with her teenage son. Let's just say that I'm glad the batteries to the family camera died right before this memorable performance! After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
