The Driving Just Gets Better All The Time

OK~ Garrett and I are in the car. He is driving and I am the passenger. We come to a stop sign- I look to the right AND I obviously leaned forward....Garrett says to me, "Mom, Move your head! I cannot see!"

My response was, "Yikes, You are just like your Dad! Your Dad says that to me in the same tone, same words, and same frustration!" Yep......This Mom can't look forward when the car stops..She gets in the way by just making sure the coast is clear. Our ride continued - I remained quiet and did not move! After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?

  1. While I don't appreciate the tone he used, I do get his point since I also drive. I find that I react faster when I see any other cars or pedestrians myself, rather than have the info come from someone else. This is partly due to the reflex of having to actually see things for ourselves as well.
