Blissdom 2012 Reinforced My Love Of Writing And This Thing Called Social Media

OK~ I've now had one full to week to let the Bliss of Blissdom sink in. I must tell you, Jon Acuff, really motivated me to get moving with my passion. I knew that my passion was writing, but after listening to him say, "Are you gonna wait until you are 60 (or something to that effect) ?" Now, since I'm a 40 something year old woman, I need to get moving! So many great people, amazing food, inspiring writers, and amazing entertainment- Life does not get much better than that!

So....Here's some high-lights of my week-end!

And front row entertainment~ Rascal Flatts rocked the stage!

And we were all lucky enough to get a sneak peak at Oprah's upcoming special with Paula Deen- Lots of laughs!

The Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center was simply amazing!

The conference attendees that I met were some of the nicest, friendliest, and inspiring people that I have ever met! I know a lot of people think I am crazy when I tell them that I found my cab buddies through Twitter. But hey- the power of Twitter rocks this Mom's world each and every day! It was also through Twitter that I made a connection with another fellow conference goer at the airport in Memphis, Tennessee. We met, before the conference even began! And the cool thing, another conference attendee was on the same plane- through the power of Social Media we were able to connect!

I'm happy to be home, and also glad to know that I can stay connected through the power of Social Media. The people I have met in Social Media are my friends and I cherish each one of them! I love my life, I love my job, and I love the opportunities that await me through Social Media. It all started three years ago when I started this crazy, little blog and hopped on the Twitter train. And guess what? This Mom is not looking back! After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
