Gulf View Waterfront Resort: Green Lodging

OK~ The Iowa to Florida road trip got a little greener when we entered the grounds of the Gulf View Waterfront Resort. The grounds were quaint, charming and green. Green living took on a whole new meaning in this beautiful resort, located in the Florida Keys.

Palm Trees Were Abundant

This sign hung on the wall....

Working Together To Save Our Earth

And right below this sign.......These were provided for use.

Perfect For Groceries And/Or Souvenirs
What a fabulous idea! Shopping bags were placed on the wall in Unit #17 for us to use. TheseThermo totes were available for use in all units, and also available for purchase in the office.

The Gulf View Waterfront Resort prides itself on the fact that they have converted all high voltage exterior lighting to compact florescent, which in turn generates a savings of 3,805 watts/per hour. Interior lighting is all compact florescent, as well. Each unit also had a handy recycle bin to handle plastics, cardboard, metal, and the like.

Green lodging just got a whole lot simpler when traveling through the Florida Keys. The Gulf View Waterfront Resort is sure to meet the needs of your family and welcome you to this little piece of paradise. Book your room at the Gulf View Waterfront Resort today, you will be glad you did. From the moment you step out of your car, the lush grounds will take your breath away. Family friendly, green accommodations that will meet your traveling needs.
