Iowa Summer 2012 Continues

OK~ Summertime is in full swing. We survived a week of an excessive heat warning and have now entered the upper 80's for temperatures, which are much more bearable. Unfortunately, this is what a lot of our lawn looks like.

These wildflowers are beautiful! These have been watered regularly. What an amazing difference a little water makes.

And then remember, all of those little kittens that were born about six to eight weeks ago? Well, here is what they look like now.

Yes, we have lots of excitement. Spring brought a lot of new life and with summertime we have growth. For now we pray for rain and hope that Mother Nature sends some rain drops our way soon. On the bright side, we are saving money when it comes to putting gas in the lawn mowers! I actually heard this today , "Mom, when can we mow lawn again?" Go figure.  After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
