OK~ The price we pay for having the right to vote in our country is having to listen to political ads 24/7. Have you tuned into You Tube lately? Lots of campaign videos happening before you can view what you logged into view.
The television ads are non - stop. What makes me disgusted is the amount of money that is spent on all of this advertising. If we could take just a small portion of funds spent; I am sure a homeless family in the United States could have food on their table for the next tear.
From this Mom's point of view- the advertisements will not change my vote. I get it, it is all about the almighty dollar and this Mom cannot change that. I just wish for one day, we could focus on being Americans and not focus on money. We live in a country of freedoms and choices that we all need to appreciate more, including me.
So, for now this Mom will keep doing what she is doing and hope that Americans will get out and vote once November rolls around. I am thinking back to my Iowa caucus experience, and I am reminded that my vote does count; at least I would like to think it does. If I do not vote, I know I do not have the right to complain. After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
