|Christmas Card 2012|
2012 brought a huge change in how we all connect. We are now connected through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and E-Mail. More and more people hopped aboard these social media channels in 2012 than any other year in history. If someone knows that statistic, I would love to hear it!
I will send out Christmas cards this year, as I do feel there is a benefit in sending them out. I enjoy addressing the cards and looking at all the different states they will travel to. I know, sounds kind of strange; but that is how I am.
2012 also brought the explosion of the tablets and smart phones. These two unique pieces of technology allow us to stay connected anywhere and everywhere. Which leads me to think that those of the next generation will not see the value of sending a card.
We discussed on All In An Iowa Mom's Day on Facebook if today's younger people will even know how to address a card in the future. And the costs of stamps, does that play into people not sending cards? All I know that times are a changing.
Hey, I love change and welcome it. I do know that the older I get, the less accepting I am to "some" things changing. I love to receive cards in all shapes and forms. E-Mail, Kisseo offers a nice app on Facebook, Instagram photos could be sent as your year in review, and then there is Facebook itself- a simple status update wishing your friends a Merry Christmas! Any of these work for me....But, there is just something about sending and receiving a card. After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
