Solving The World's Problems In A Hospital Waiting Room

OK~ I have spent today in a hospital waiting room and my siblings, along with my Mom and I, have solved all the world's problems. We have discussed everything from healthcare reform, Common Core Math, to weight loss.

Our conclusions: Healthcare reform has created more issues than healthcare had before this program was implemented. Really? A website that does not take payments when it is a "mandatory program." One thing I learned while discussing this issue.

Common Core Math is OK. Now, granted I do not have kids in school anymore and my sister's son is a Freshman, I see the frustrations that many of my friends have with this Math. After discussion amongst us, we have determined that Math, to us, is all about problem solving. My brother has a first grader and his first grader has no issues with problem solving.

Weight loss is challenging. Would someone explain why a man can lose 15 lbs. and a woman can lose zippo? Same diet, same exercise regime, and same home environment! Ummmm..... could I really be that lazy?

And now we are watching Dr. Oz. He seems to have all the answers to losing weight! But dang, can I eat anything I like, Dr. Oz? I want to eat an occasional slice of cake, is that OK? Not sure!

Oh yeah, and we even managed to set a date for our extended family Christmas! So, family togetherness in a hospital waiting room can really be a good thing.

So....... It's now up to us to solve more problems. Hospital waiting rooms can be crazy places. We have been here for 12 hours and counting! After All It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?

  1. An occasional slice of cake is more than ok!

  2. Sounds like you are getting a lot accomplished! Hope all is well.

  3. So stressful, yet so fun! Love my family and am blessed that we were able to solve all the world's problems and then some!

I always love feedback on my blog!
