OK~ Winter is still here and you know how this Mom knows, check this out! One would think that after years and years of hearing, "Do not go down that road until it is all clear!" So, what does he do? This!
I should know that when the phone rings and the call goes like this:
G: "Mom, Where are you?"
Me: "Uptown in a parking lot."
G: "You need to come get me on the way home. I'm stuck on the road."
Me: "What road?"
G: "The dirt road."
OK- Key word, dirt road. Yes, during summer it is a dirt road, Level B, which means it is a minimum maintenance road. Well, helllooooooo- you can tell by this picture that it has not been plowed in quite sometime. This is about 1/2 mile into this mile, so it was passable for a large section of it.
There is a creek that flows through here, which will flow over the road for a large part of the spring, so it will be quite some time before this road is passable.
And before it was all said and done it quickly became an extended family affair.
As our 18 year old son and my brother pulled his truck out, I explained to my seven year old nephew that when his Mom and Dad tell him to not drive down a road, they mean it. He looked at me and I could tell that went in one ear and out the other. Garrett's reasoning for driving down the road was to have fun! Kids, you gotta love 'em! After All, It's All In a Mom's Day, Right?
