Pur Gum Review: Kick Aspartame

OK~ I'm not a huge gum chewer, but I will admit I kind of like to chomp on a piece of gum now and then. The good folks over at Pur Gum sent me samples of their two new flavors and you know what? I kind of like them. Cool mint and cinnamon are the two new flavors I had the delight of sampling.

You are probably now asking, why should I care that this gum does not have aspartame? Well, aspartame is a man-made synthetic sweetener that is found in most sugar-free gums, beverages, and candies. This also means that pregnant moms can safely enjoy chewing on Pur Gum.

Pur is sweetened with xylitol. Xylitol is a healthy alternative to sugar and artificial sweeteners. Each piece of Pur Gum contains 1 gram of xylitol and 2.4 calories per gram. If nuts and soy are a problem for you, Pur Gum is a fantastic option, as it is made in a nut free environment.
